I am not much into the mainstream type of music. Here is what I'm listening to and really like:
Draconian Band - Draconian is a gothic band from Sweden - they hope to find love in your hearts. Also you can find Draconian blogs here. And also some of the audio files which will help you making an opinion about them.
Saturnus - Saturnus was the Roman god of harvest yet in music the gods are from Denmark. They sing of loss, sorrow and all the grey things. Yet they do it with passion and like no others.
Paradise Lost - Once the kings of gothic and dark metal now they are shadows of that name. Yet we like them as ever. The british band is back to remind us that they did not lose the paradise. If you want to listen again click here to play Hallowed Land and other masterpieces.
Volbeat DK - Another band from Denmark, Volbeat plays different from what you are used to listen. They combine metal with rock influences from Elvis, Johny Cash and other 70's singers. Not just another ordinary band. You may also want to read their lyrics and digest them a bit.
Empyrium - These Germans know to bring melancholy to their listeners. It's all about love and grief in their magic songs. I wonder what's their inspiration.
